Good Navigation StatusTo support the implementation of the Fairway Rehabilitation and Maintenance Masterplan for the Danube and its navigable tributaries which is an essential framework for coordinated navigation development, the updated Reports on Good Navigation Status (GNS) for 2025 are now available.

These reports have been developed under the CEF co-funded FAIRway Danube II project. As part of this effort, the traditional National Action Plans (NAPs) for project beneficiaries Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria have been transformed into the more comprehensive GNS Reports. These documents monitor fairway conditions and maintenance activities, aligning with the revised requirements of the TEN-T Regulation.

At the same time, other Danube partner countries, including Germany, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, and Ukraine, continue to voluntarily submit their NAPs. Together, these coordinated efforts ensure a consistent and transnational overview of the Danube waterway's current status and the progress of ongoing maintenance and development initiatives.
